A helping hand during the Lockdown

St. Thomas School Indirapuram has been running an afternoon School for the under privileged children staying in huts behind the school. They are taught by the school's regular teachers staying back after the school. They are the children of rickshaw pullers, house maids, and auto drivers. Some of them study in the government schools and some don't go to any school.

During this lockdown these families bread earners were without work and were not getting any help from anywhere. The school management called them to the school, made them sit in distance and listened to their problems. The Chairman Rev. Shaji Mathews and the Principal Kuriakose VK, along with two teachers distributed a food kit each consisting of floor, rice, sugar, tea powder, salt, oil, pulses etc. to each family. Around 60 families benefitted out of it.
