The Guest of the Event was Mr. Roy Mathew, an entrepreneur, and a corporate trainer. He motivated and guided the student council to be leaders who believe in serving, listening, empathizing, and problem-solving while leading the team.
The students dressed in their resplendent house colours added grandeur to the event. The elected leaders were conferred with badges and sashes. The students pledged to serve the school and fulfill their responsibilities to the best of their abilities.

A very informative session taken by SANDEEP GUPTA on GMAT preparation, resource person shared success stories of his students. Sample of all types of questions were given to students, so that they can understand the difficulty level of GMAT test. Regarding GMAT all the technicalities were discussed.

KG Day is a once-a-year event that brings out teachers, students, school management and parents on the same platform to conduct and have a good time together. It exhibits student’s talent, remove their stage fear, boost up their confidence, develops their personality and teach them teamwork.
This year on 17th February 2023, we took the Theme “Retro to Metro” to make our children aware of the cinema, the kinds of songs, fashion etc. prevailing during the times of their parents and grandparents and how the things have changed over the years. Our tiny tots performed it quite well and their work was really appreciable.
Chief Guest of the day, Mrs. Reena Charles motivated the children as well as the parents through her kind words and creative thoughts.
ROAD SAFETY WEEK
Approximately 400 lives are lost daily, and as per 2022 statistics, India ranks first in road accident fatalities and third in people getting injured in road mishaps. To save millions of lives that are endangered worldwide, road safety continues to be a significant concern. National Road Safety Week is celebrated from 11th to 17th January every year to raise awareness to prevent death and injuries worldwide. The primary purpose of this campaign is to emphasize and educate people about the importance of road safety.
Traffic Inspector Santosh Chauhan visited the school on 19th January 2023. He addressed the students and staff on the importance of Road Safety and spread awareness about traffic rules.
Students of class 7 participated in Slogan Writing on Road Safety. Approximately 110 students participated in this activity. Students of class 9 along with NCC Cadets of our school participated in a rally on road safety. A human chain was formed on the front side of the school by Class 6 and 7 students along with their teachers holding placards on "Road Safety ". A pledge too was taken.

In an effort to lay a strong foundation of Maths Subject, St Thomas School Indirapuram has organized Maths week for students of all levels from 14th December to 21st December 2022.
The purpose of the Maths Week is to teach the students about basic Maths in simple and interesting manner and to inculcate interest with the subject. Activities are planned by the teachers for students of all grades, making it interesting. Students’ participation to fullest is our goal.
On 14th December, we had inauguration of Maths Week with Saraswathi Vandana, followed by series of events such as skit, group dance, Students also presented the life and work of various famous Indian mathematicians, Ramanujan and Aryabhatta to name a few, highlighting their invaluable contribution to the fields of mathematics, astronomy and sciences, video on Srinivas Ramanujan, etc…
A series of activities will be followed this week.
St. Thomas School organised a Day Adventure Camp for KG students under the supervision of teachers and professional instructors .
It was a day camp that offered a positive and safe environment where children could gain confidence and self-esteem. This camp helped them to develop basic athletic skills such as balancing coordination and to enjoy the adventures. The students arrived bubbling with excitement as they headed to participate in such activities .Many activities that enhance the gross motor skills were set up on the field. It encompassed an array of adventure activities like Parallel Rope, Trampoline, Ladder climbing, Ladder walk, Hanging Tyres, tug of war , magic show, and puppet show. The children participated with zeal and were delighted when they completed each task. Students had a joyful experience. The camp concluded with unforgettable memories.

25th November 22, the school turned into a Land of Fay when Season IX of the Annual Inter School Spelling Competition SPELL 'O' PHILO was hosted with full grit and gusto.
This unique spelling competition is organised in memory of H.G. JOB MAR PHILOXENOS ,the Second Metropolitan of Delhi Diocese.
Season IX hosted 20 schools from Delhi NCR who vied to win the competition at three levels.

Creativity combined with hard work shone through this delightful event in which knowledge of words was tested in different ways something so essential in these times of abbreviated spelling. Every language demands equal respect and consciousness for its best application. On that note.. Literary Club of the school has orgainsed the fun and engaging literary activities for classes 6th to 12th.
Rev. Fr. Saji Abraham inaugurated The Language Fiesta 22 on 19 July 22. Pandora Box was the inaugural event wherein class 6 students exhibited their talents remarkably.More fun filled activities in various languages are awaited .The entire week is going to keep the thomasanians on their toes

With great fervor, a special assembly was conducted by the students of class 9A and B on the auspicious occasion of St. Thomas Day on 4th July. This special day is dedicated to St. Thomas, one of the twelve apostles of Jesus Christ.
The event was anchored by Abhinav Singh of class 9A and Sanidhya Raj of class 9B.
The event commenced with the lightning of the lamp followed by a prayer by the melodious school choir. News, pledge, speeches, and thought of the day were also included in the program.
The students of St. Thomas with all of their vigour, dynamism and vitality put together a sensational skit on the life of St. Thomas
To commemorate St. Thomas Day, the students of class 9A and B donated food packets to feed the needy.
A solo song by Gitika Kiswan of class 9A added charm to the event.An event of this magnitude would not have been possible without the presence of respected Headmistress Ma'am, Coordinator Ma'am and the Principal Sir.
Principal, Mr. V. K Kuriakose graced the occasion with his noble words.The program concluded with the vote of thanks by the anchor.

Maths tricks are the ways to solve complex Mathematical problems easily and quickly. Mathematics is not limited to learning from textbooks only, rather learning different styles that makes the subject easier.
Maths is not an easy subject for many students. Hence, Mathematical tricks are the best way to make Maths a fun subject. Therefore, learning simple tricks will help students to gain their confidence and enhance problem – solving skills.
An interhouse competition was conducted where all eight participants presented their tricks with great zeal. The tricks were based of different concepts. For eg. Addition, Multiplication, Square roots, Vedic Maths, etc.
With the help of this activity, students have increased their thinking skill, calculation skill and time span too as they can attempt questions faster now. Summing up, the competition helped for an effective learning of Mental Maths skills and participation of students as an individual.
Many such tricks are applicable for students suffering from INTELLECTUAL DISABILITIES. For eg. ADHD, Dyslexia, Autism, Slow learners, etc.

Leaders are not born but are made by their experiences in life. The Investiture Ceremony for the students selected for the Prefectorial Board took place on 19 May 2022.The programme commenced with the lighting of the lamp followed by prayer. A dance was performed by girls of classes 2,3 and 10 which held everyone captive to their performance. The school choir sang a melodious and inspiring song which perfectly suited the event. Amidst the fragrance of this ceremonial euphoria the students, entrusted with various responsibilities took the oath to abide by the rules and regulations of the school and carry out their responsibilities to the best of their abilities. The Head Boy gave speech. It was followed by a speech by our Chairman Reverend Father Saji Abraham. A melodious solo song performance by Ishana Bisht added charm to the entire event. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by the Head Girl.

National Technology Day is much more than the anniversary of a historical event. This day represents a pathway to the future. On this day we celebrate the achievements of some of our best scientists and innovators, and their achievements in shaping technology into usable commercial products and processes that forever changed the lives of people.
Keeping in mind the importance of this day, Thomasanians enthusiastically participated in various activities to mark the celebration of 'National Technology Day' on May 11.
Students created vibrant placards of scientist , colurful robots ,made interactive PowerPoint presentations on "Use of Technology ". Special Assembly was conducted on May 11. Skit was presented by class 7 students to make the students aware about the adverse effects of getting addicted to technology . An informational session on “Cyber safety and its prevention techniques” was also organized

An Inter Class Patriotic Solo Dance Competition was organized for students of class VI on 12th May 2022. The competition began with great zest and excitement. The participants dressed in tri-colour costumes, twirled around and set the stage on fire with their thrilling performance. All the dancers stole the hearts of the audience.Judges appreciated the efforts made by students and were thrilled to see their performances

Dance is an art form which helps in expressing the emotion of life and relaxes the mind, body and soul. International Dance Day is celebrated every year on April 29 throughout the world to pay tribute to this distinctive form of performing arts.
It is an opportunity to express our thoughts and feelings, but also keeps us physically fit and sound for life.
This year students of Class 4 student celebrated the day with great zeal and favor on 4th May. Students performed Indian , western dances and a fashion show to showcase costumes of different dance forms. The aim of the celebration was to inculcate interest and respect among the students for all dance forms, be it Classical or Western. The little Thomasanians were looking very pretty in their vibrant, colourful dresses.
Students thoroughly enjoyed the foot-tapping music along with exquisite dance forms. Principal Mr. V.K Kuriakose applauded the efforts of the students and said dance was an art form which helps in expressing emotions of life and relaxes the mind, body and the soul. He also said dance not only gives an opportunity to express thoughts and feelings, but also keeps one physically fit.

World Earth Day was celebrated in our school on 22nd April 2022 to spread awareness about conserving our mother Earth. Students of class VI presented various programmes on the stage. Main highlights were Solo dance performance by Samridhi and Lakshanya, Speech by Shivam and Ritika who insisted their fellow mates to implement the 3R’s that is reuse, recycle and reduce. The Choir group presented a melodious group song on the theme- THE EARTH IS MY HOME I PROMISE TO KEEP IT, HEALTHY AND BEAUTIFUL.
Students presented slogans which were very impactful. Life is nothing without planet Earth. In the end, respected headmistress ma’am gave a beautiful message to students as how we can all keep our Mother Earth clean and green.

Quiz about your Nation
Inspired by the "Aazaadi ka Amrit Mahotsav" initiative, a social science quiz was organised by our school on 18th April 2022 (Monday). The theme of this quiz was "Rise of Nationalism in India:1857-1947". The main objective for this event was to encourage and help the students to understand all about the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters and to instill a deeper sense of patriotism and responsibilty towards India as a nation in our students.
There were four different rounds conducted in this quiz which were as follows:
First Round: General Round
Second Round: Audio- Visual Round
Third Round: Spin the Wheel Round
Fourth Round: Rapid Fire Round
Each team was formed based on the four different houses of our school: Aravalli,Himalaya, Nilgiri and Vindhya named Unity, Fraternity, Equality and Liberty respectively.
The result of the quiz are as follows:

"Petite pure souls yet unrelenting determination"
After a break of two years, The Thomasanians stood united on the 4th of April 2022, surviving one of the deadliest pandemics in history, emerging victorious and determined to live a healthy and organised life. The school's principal, Mr V.K. Kuriakose and Headmistress Mrs Rachel Reji commenced the reopening of the school by lighting the lamp. A very humble start to the first day of school began with a melodious prayer sung harmoniously by the School's Choir. All prayed for happiness, well being and righteousness. The comparers of the day were marvellous, shortly after a very enthusiastic rap was presented by the tenthies, which depicted the struggles of every student, followed by elegant, breath-taking dances. With zeal and rejuvenation, a speech was delivered, and the students sympathised with the sentiments behind it. As they say, "Coming together is the beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is a success", The Principal concluded the assembly, addressed the students and shared his insightful thoughts and advice
Spring is in the air, fresh blessings everywhere!
With great fervor, a special assembly was conducted virtually by the students of class 3 on the auspicious occasion of ‘Basant Panchami’ on Friday 4th February, 2022 which marks the onset of the ‘Spring Season’.
In West Bengal, the festival is known as ‘Saraswati Pooja’ owing its origin to the birth of goddess Saraswati, the symbol of knowledge and wisdom.
It commenced with the introduction followed by prayer, thought for the day, Shlok, beautiful dance presentations on Saraswati Vandana, kaavy - sammelan, song and speech on the significance of yellow color on the occasion of Basant Panchami. Entire event promoted the value of education. The assembly was attended by the principal, the headmistress and the academic coordinator. Respected headmistress - Ma’am Rachel Regi, addressed the gathering by congratulating and appreciating the efforts of everyone who worked behind the success of the event. An enlightening message was delivered to the students.
HAPPY BASANT PANCHAMI
The 73rd Republic Day was celebrated with pride and reverence through an online platform at St. Thomas School celebrated . A plethora of activities were organised to infuse the spirit of unity, brotherhood and patriotism among the students.
The cultural celebrations, in the virtual platform included, recorded dance,music and presentation by the students. The students of the Pre-Primary and Primary Wing made an Indian tricolour flag as a craft activity. They also decorated a corner in the house with tricolour balloons .
The students of the Primary Department presented soulful songs and dance to celebrate the monumental day. They were shown informative videos, reiterating the importance of the republic day.
The students of the Middle & Senior Departments presented videos showcasing the history and significance of Republic Day followed by a motivational talk highlighting the duties & rights of citizens.
The Chairman, Rev. Father Saji Abraham and Principal Kuriakose.V.K inspired the students with their motivational words and told all the students to abide by the constitution of their motherland and fulfill all their duties as responsible citizens. Our School Conduced a day campagn on 7th January ,2022 in which students took the life Saving Shot.We Thomasanians firmly believe that inoculation is the first step towards defeating this pandemic that has reigned terror for the past two years across the globe. It is only by keeping a united front can we attain a complete victory against this deadly virus as children of today are the future of tomorrow.
A COVID-19 vaccination camp was organised in the school on 7th January, Friday for children aged between 15 to 18 years .
A government doctor and a team of medical staff from a government body administered the vaccine to over 350 students in the school Awareness was created among the students on the rapid spread of the viral infection and the safety measures to be taken.
Christmas Celebration 2021 Assembly was conducted by the students of Class-7 on 22 December 2021 at St. Thomas School,Indirapuram. The programme consisted of compering,nativity, choir songs and performance by the students of HOPE. Compering was done by Priyanshi Verma of 7B, the speech was delivered by Vedanshi of 7B. The title of Nativity was 'O Holy Night',initiated by ma'am Monisha and ma'am Christine. The message of the story was to be thankful, prayerful in every circumstances. We should give thanks to the God Almighty every time. Choir songs were sung by Class 6. The songs are- 'Mary did you know' and 'O Holy Night'. Prayer song was lead by sir Rauf Khan, performed by the students of Class-9. The Group song- 'Hear my Christmas Prayer' was lead by sir Sujoy, performed by the students of Class-9. The dance performances were coordinated by ma'am Rakhi. The Nativity was followed by short performance of the HOPE students initiated by ma'am Rakhi. Chairman Rev. Father Saji Abraham, delivered a message of Christmas to the audience. Lastly, Principal Kuriakose. V.K, addressed the gathering.
Christmas is the time to get together and remind ourselves how lucky we are to have friends and family who love us. Christmas is all about celebration playing and make a good cheer. To celebrate, Christmas the tiny tots of kindergarten and Primary section joined us in school.
Students were taken stroll around the school and were happy to see the Christmas decoration.
They played various games organized by the sports department and also enjoyed meeting each other.
They were very happy to receive chocolates.
CONSTITUTION DAY 2021
A special programme was conducted by the students of Class IX and XI on 26th November 2021 (Friday) to celebrate the National Constitution Day in the school auditorium. This programme began with a prayer song by our students which was followed by a telecast of live visual presentation from the Sansad Bhawan, Delhi. The students attended the speech of our Honorable President, Vice- President and Prime Minister addressing the nation highlighting the aspects of the making of the Indian Constitution and its significance in the lives of all citizens. Following this, there was a song, dance and a speech regarding the Indian Constitution. The students along with Principal Sir took a pledge on the Preamble to the Indian Constitution. The program was concluded by a speech delivered by Principal Sir who encouraged the students to remain true citizens and responsible towards our nation.
Education is not the learning of facts but the training of the mind to think. Education day was celebrated by the students of class 11 (Sections A, B, C and D) on 15 November 2021 as a remembrance of the birth anniversary of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad who was a great freedom fighter, an eminent educationist and the first Union Minister of Education. Darshana of 11 B performed a classical dance and Arjun Ahlawat of 11 D delivered an inspiring speech. One of the most regrettable outcomes of the pandemic has been the impact on education, when access to learning institutions became restricted. Keeping this in mind, the students performed a skit on the topic ‘Recover and Revitalize Education for the Covid-19 Generation.

St. Thomas School, Indirapuram observed the Investiture Ceremony for the session 2021-22 on 15th November 2021. The Ceremony started by auspicious lighting of the ceremonial lamp followed by the prayer song.
The occasion was graced by the benign presence of the Chairman, Rev. Fr. Saji Abraham, Rev. Fr. Cherian Joseph, Manager St. Thomas School, Sahibabad, Principal V.K.Kuriakose, Headmistress Rachael Reji and Academic Co-ordinator, Vineeta Varghese.Shresth Barde was bestowed as the head boy, Manasvi Sharma as the head girl, Arjun Gupta as the deputy head boy and Sanya Gairola as the deputy head girl. They were given sash and badges by all the dignitaries. The Principal, V.K. Kuriakose administered the oath to the office bearers. The school Chairman congratulated the newly elected members and guided them to be the role models and render their responsibilities sincerely.The ceremony was a new beginning for the school with the children after the re-opening during the pandemic period.
